Determiners. A determiner qualifies a noun phrase with information on how it relates to the objects it describes. For example, "a book" refers to any book that's in scope for the discussion (in IF terms, this is usually any book that's physically present), while "the book" refers to some specific single book.

Language modules can add determiners as needed. For example, a language with grammatical gender would probably find gendered versions of Definite and Indefinite useful, to represent the use of gendered articles in input.
